hi I have been really thinking of converting to christianity as i believe there is a god and Gods/Jesus' teachings and guidance will help me, however, there are parts (like pre-marital sex) which i do not wish to stick to. Can i still be a good christian or can i not just ignore parts?

Good question! To be a Christian means to believe in Jesus and the follow after Jesus as best as we can. Being Christian means to continuously be transformed by the Holy Spirit to live in the Spirit and not in the flesh. I understand that pre-marital sex might not be something you want to give up right away, but I know that if you truly want to be a Christian, the Holy Spirit will slowly but surely transform every part of you. I never thought I was going to give up listening to certain music artists when I became a Christian but in time, God changed my desires and what I wanted and I no longer wanted to listen to some of the songs that I was listening to. The transformation process can take a while, but you just need to start building a relationship with God through prayer and through the Bible and slowly allow the Spirit to convict you on things that need to be changed. Honestly, what God asks of us isn’t burdensome (1 John 5:3). God doesn’t just make up rules because He can. There are reasons behind why He tells us to do certain things and to abstain from other things. Although pre-marital sex is glorified in pop culture, it has negative effects on relationships that TV and movies just don’t show. If you have other questions, feel free to ask! Congratulations on taking the first step in making a choice whether or not you want to follow Jesus :)

praying seems like primitive nonsense me.God has a divine plan and you come along asking for something. What do you want him to do?change his divine plan?!Just for you!Seems a little arrogant doesn't it?And if your prayers aren't answered you say 'well god's will be done'.Ok but if it's his plan he's gonna do whatever he wants anyway, right? So it seems like a waste of time!

Prayer isn’t a waste of time because God listens to all our prayers and prayer helps build a relationship with God.

Lets use this as an example:

When you were young, lets say you took a cookie out of the cookie jar even though you weren’t suppose to. Your father asks you if you took the cookie from the jar. He already knows that you did, but he wants to hear it from you. Why? Because the interaction helps with building a relationship. The father already knew what happened but he wants to hear from the child because he cares and he loves him. In the same way, we pray to God, knowing that God already knows our thoughts and prayers because it helps build a relationship with Him.

Remember that God listens to each and every prayer. He is able to do miracles. I don’t know how he chooses what miracles to do (which I will want to ask one day when I see Him), but it can definitely happen. Remember in the Old Testament when Moses asked God to spare the people of Israel (Exodus 32). God would have destroyed the people but He listened to Moses and spared them.

Once you build a close relationship with God, you will start to ask God less, but spend more time in conversation with Him. It becomes less about what I can ask God for, but more of just praising Him for what He has done and being in His presence through prayer. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have other questions!

Wasn't the whole thing against homosexuality in the same section as that thing about wearing mixed cloths? Or am I wrong? Because Jesus died so that we don't need to follow those rules, those rules apply to Judaism right? Sorry I'm a bit confused today

So I don’t really know what I’m doing with this blog right now. Heads up for all, like all 5 of you that might actually read this, I think I’m going to delete this.
